API & Embeds

Pull Chatdex bot listings into your website, app, or tool. Use the JSON API or embed a card with one line of HTML.

JSON API

All endpoints return JSON and support CORS. No authentication required.

List bots

GET /api/bots

Query parameters:

page — Page number (default: 1)
limit — Results per page, max 50 (default: 20)
category — Filter by category slug
search — Search bot names and descriptions
platform — Filter by platform (e.g., WhatsApp)

Get a bot

GET /api/bots/{slug}

List categories

GET /api/categories

oEmbed

GET /api/oembed?url={bot_url}

Returns an oEmbed-compatible rich card for any Chatdex bot listing URL. Supports maxwidth parameter.

Embed Widget

Add a live Chatdex bot card to any webpage. Paste this where you want the card to appear:

Options

data-chatdex-bot — The bot's slug (required)
data-chatdex-theme — "light" or "dark" (default: light)
data-chatdex-width — Max width in pixels, 280-600 (default: 400)
